Amelia has arrived!!!!!

Welcome Amelia Evelyn Elizabeth! Due May 19ths, she ended up not coming on her own so Monday May 24th My mom my sister and I went up to the hospital to give her her eviction notice. They started me out with Cytotec, a vaginal tablet that would get my cervix soft and begin (hopefully) to dilate. I got that at 10 P.M. dilated at still 1.5 (fully effaced) one long and not very restful night later (that bed was pretty darn hard and the room was not dark, plus having a nurse come in to read the tape every half hour/hour... and needing to pee.. yea...lol) I got to have a nice breakfast at 7:30 and then at 10 AM I was only at a 2 so was started on Pitocin to get the contractions which were nice and frequent to be more intense and hopefully get me dilated. Well, the pitocin sure worked, and by 12:30 I was ready to not be feeling them anymore, so I asked for the epidural. They checked my cervix before and I was dilated to a 4 woo hoo! got the Epidural and was happily numb by 2pm, which was good cause those last contractions as the epi was placed were pretty painful and I was beginning to shake a bit. They checked my cervix again once I was fully numb and I was fully dilated, so they called my Dr so he could get ready and then I started pushing. At 3:11 PM I had one last push and out she came! The nurses placed her on my belly as the Dr finished delivery the placenta and started taking care of my tear (2nd Degree OUCH!) She was all covered in white sticky goo, not slippery like I had thought. Much larger on the outside then I imagined she would be, 7lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. We tried nursing with no success and then she headed off to get cleaned up and get some testing/weighed/measuring done.I got her back all clean and marvelous and she nursed for an hour!

Satuday I went to the farmers market, it was sunny and pretty but the wind was super cold. It was good to go, but ended unhappily as I mistepped off the curb and went splat. hurt my knee, hand and cut my chin, and of course, had to go to the hospital to get checked out and make sure that Amelia was fine. We went to the local one first, but the only OB here was one that is abusive and the other one was out of town soooo.. we left AMA and went to the valley. Spent the weekend being watched and having minor contractions. some less minor then others. What it boiled down to is that I was discharged at 100% effaced, and a soft 1CM dilated and still having minor contractions. Tomorrow i go up for regular appointment/follow-up and we will see if I have had any further progression, but what a spendy way to spend my weekend. and a spendy fall. It looks like I may be in pre-labor so I might not make it to my due date. I lost my Mucus plug at 7:50 Sunday the 10th...

My back hurts in waves... but not always with a hard belly, and sometimes I have back pain with pelvic pressure and no hard belly, and every so often once or twice a day maybe, I have all three, pelvic pressure, hard belly, back pain... so maybe I am having some movement towards having Amelia arrive.

So I was chatting with an friend, and we were talking about what the thing inside my belly really is... and it was so revealed to me that she is not a frog army, or an alien, or an octopus, she is a cabbit!!

Belly bump

Here you go, the latest belly pics. hey I am even smiling in them wow!






For me, thats a huge freakin bump. when I lay down at night it expands up into my chest cavity so that its like, I don't know,a mini hill just bellow my breasts. of course thats only when laying on my sides, it all kind of slumps in when I lay on my back, I mean the bump is still a bump but it seems to flatten out a bit. Can't stay long on the back of course or I get really uncomfy. and now my right side.. its my preferred sleep side and its soooo sooooorrrrrreee. I tried to not sleep on it and suffered. last night was a bad night for sleep and it left me tired all day. hopefully I will sleep better tonight though its a full moon so who knows really!

and the alien/horde of frogs/octopus/fetus/creature of the deep keeps moving around and complaining that there is a lack of space. yeah I hear you honey child but trust me, I feel squashed enough with out you trying to dislocate my Ribs or drill a hole out the cervix.

I am sooo ready to not be pregnant anymore. And I am SOO not ready to have a baby.

at least I have a crib.

I need, no NEED no NEED to get the house clean. and get the cat door out of my window and get a door for the slider. and some liners for the diapers. I wouldn't be upset to have somemore clothes and sheets.... crib sheets and baby clothes that is.

I am in big trouble.

maybe when I wake up the cleaning fairy will have come and my house will be all shiny and maybe even (gasp) child proofed... and the stuff on the back porch will be GONE.

yeah I know, and I didn't even have any drugs to have that wild fancy trip on either. just a lack of a good nights sleep. I wonder if I will remember what one of those is before I turn 48...

cleaned up the house some and practiced folding cloth diapers using a teddy bear. cats tried to 'help' and got yelled at.... oh and be shocked, I put away almost all of my clean laundry!!! wow, I mean do you have any idea how hard it is to fold and stuff with a belly in the way? I bet some of you do... it took me a while cause I had to take breaks or I was going to puke from the squashing my tummy was taking.

I have also discovered that eating chocolate covered cherries is an excellent way to get Amelia to move and make my tummy sore. more sore. sorer? hmm sorest? what an odd word...

I ordered some chinese prefold diapers I thought I was ordering dozens, but I think its actually individual ones.. meh... anyway I bought 20 bucks worth (incuding shipping) I figure I can add covers and more prefolds if I need to as I go but with the gerbers (I have 1 doz of them) which I have to fold in half to fit into the newborn covers, plus the ones I just ordered plus the few fitted I have plus whatever other clothie stuff I may end up with from the shower... I should be covered.... I may just need to buy some rolls of liners though.

ok I am now hungry and being abused by my unborn child. must. eat. something.

things happen in threes

I totally blame my friend 'lanna for the death of my fridge. Here is why. so had lunch with her on my bday and she tells my sis and I about her dieing fridge. One week later and mine and my sisters go kaput. Coincidence???? :P dont worry i still love you!
I went down to the second hand store and purchased a side by side using money in the savings. hey! I cannot be without a fridge!!! and 195 bucks for a side by side fridge, not to bad.

now I just have to replace all the food that spoiled before I realized the fridge was dead......

after buying the fridge I went up to the valley and had my ultrasound. Baby is growing and is on track and they estimate her weight at four and a half pounds. not to bad!

My sis and I then had lunch at a rib place in Salem called adams rib. oh. my. word. The BEST ribs I have had in I do not know how long. I begged some ice in a bag and some tinfoil from the employee's so I could get them safely home and not waste them. so I had them for dinner. yum yum yum. I am now sad that I have no more of them. I wish I lived closer to them so I could go eat there!!! seriously any of you that are able to go to that place and eat them do you will like the riiiiiibbbbsss. the mashed garlic potatoes... not so much. but the Ribs, glorious ribs... beef ones too, I mean you can have pork ones if you want (eeewww) but the beef... ahhhh. and I know some beef ribs have like no meat on them and you feel cheated... but these had MEAT. six differnt types of sauce... I liked the bourbon sauce it was sweet and a bit tangy. My sis liked her buffalo sammich. I didn't try it but she is at least as picky as I am so it is likely good. if any of you liked busters and are sad they are gone, Adams Rib! its by the Roxie. and yes. I do go on about food. just cause I am a skinny chick does not mean I don't love my food. I do I do I do, just... it sometimes hates me. and these ribs didn't so woooooooot!!!

they tasted good even without the sauce by the way. but I liked to put the sauce on any way. they won some award for the best dry rub.

Bring me ribs and no one gets hurt....

Tuesday update

I got my car back! woot! all fixed and pretty, but the inside kind of smells like paint eeeeewww.

finally got some video of baby beating up on my belly to send to my hubby. she is so mean!!!!! currently sitting near my right rib cage making it hard to breath. and she just kicked me hard enough that it really hurt. probably wouldn't have hurt if it hadn't been that she had been pressing up against that area for the last half an hour. brat even in the womb!

Tomorrow I need to go to the DMV and renew my license so that I am still legal next tuesday.

I want to bath but am worried that sitting in the warm water will make me more prone to feeling woozy... same thing about the shower.

I am actually pretty tired and hope I get some good sleep in tonight. I think I will go to the DMV about 11 ish? maybe they wont be too busy then. I will take my iPod and make sure that what I wear doesn't do what today's outfit did and completely hid that I am preggy. is it bad that I want to show my preggyness off so people are nicer to me?

Dr's appointment and cloth diapers

Went into the valley (yes yes I know, it sounds exciting doesn't it??) yesterday with my sister for my Dr's appointment, we left early, after an hour of fussing with the car trying to get it so we could have the iPod for music and finding out that we needed an adapter part that is a pair and we only had half of it. Then we headed out and stopped off at Wee Bunz, a cloth diaper store for some hands on diaper joy. I ended up buying three of the cutest little fitted diapers and three newborn sized covers. The diapers are sooo cute and soft. and fluffy. and wow, i will have a teeny little hiney to put in them soon....

My Hubby said he would buy some more diapers for my birthday :D I am excited about Diapering with cloth

isn't that tiny and cute!!! I got three of these (yes I am aware I need many more) one in purple, one inn green and one in tan. they have snaps to be really small and to be able to grow with the munchkin, and a snap in the middle to snap it down for the umbilical stump. (ew) And so sooooooft.

We then went to lunch at arby's and while it was fast, the food was sub par. mozzerrla sticks were chewy and old, and the beef seemed a little... meh. not enough cheese on my beef and cheddar either. I had a milkshake. best part of the meal. Then we headed over to the Dr's to do my glucose test. Yes kids at home, I DID have a milkshake half an hour before doing a test on my blood sugar levels. hey they DID say I could eat! Anyway, the drink made me want to puke, and gave me heartburn and a headache, and made me feel a little, funky. Then to I got my rhogam shot right after drinking the glucose, so that probably didn't help any. my butt is still a bit tender on that side... Well after an hour we went back in and the stabbed my finger and I passed at 102. Then we hit the road and went to target where I got some baby items using the gift card from my Father in Law. still have 51 bucks left! Then we went to costco to get store stuff and I was out of water so I was glad when my sister needed a pick me up and I bought us some smoothies, well, me a smoothie and a mocha for her. Then it was dark and we headed home. About this time I was having the hardest time peeling my eyes apart. So when we got back to her house we stuffed my items in my car and I went on home. went to bed at 10. yes TEN. crazy. I know.

Today I have not done much, got up late, ate, took a shower then a bath. washed a load of clothes that now need to magically move themselves to the dryer. My sis came over and took the unworking dishwasher out and gross with the nasty water left in it and its various tubes.... airing out my kitchen as we speak. well, as I type. power is off in the kitchen area kind of, the wiring in this house is strange, it turned off the dishwasher, not the fridge (woot) and my bathroom. not the stove or microwave so food prep is good to go. yeah I KNOW its weird. I wonder if the people who built this house were like, I know, lets have this part of this room and this room be connected to this circuit, but not anything in between.. it will be funny! and then shot up some more meth. ok not meth meth was not really a drug back in the day when this house was built. maybe coke? Acid?

Acid would explain so much about the quirks in the house, I love this house, but honestly, its wiring and functions are rather like the neurological pathways of some one who HAS done acid.

I have to take the car to the shop tomorrow and my sister is going to pick me up after and take me to work. JOY. I will miss having a car that runs nicely and I can count on sitting in the garage. but, I can live for five days without a vehicle. I mean, its not like everything I need isn't a block a way or anything. I mean, just cause I can stand in my carport and see my favorite grocery store doesn't mean I'm near it... :P

what should I have for dinner... gooooood question. I will think of something.

I laughed and laughed, and as I had my hand over my belly button it was funnier cause as I would laugh it would poke out more and wiggle against my palm.

Sucky Saturday, or the intenet woes part 2 + plus car.

I have had worse Saturdays, but this one.. has had it moments of complete disaster. First, I was SUPPOSE to have a tech come out and make it so that my internet stops inciting me into a homicidal rage. No tech. i called and they said, your tech was canceled and I shouted WHAT! I waited all week for this tech to come. I have had crappy connection for TWO weeks now. yes i am aware there had been an outage in my area, but all night last night I had internet going in and out and in and out. I was livid. Not only because now I wont get a tech till TUESDAY but cause I waited all day long, ok only till 1 PM, but still I usually go over to my sis' house at like 11 or noon and we do car care. Someone should have called me. Told me they were going to cancel my service call. ASK me if I need it. yeah, this makes me feel like I have qwest service again. I HATED qwest service. I cannot believe this crap.

Moving on.

went over to my sisters house and brought her a spark plug sinc she was chaning hers and had broken one in the process. Then we went to test her car out, and so I parked my car on the street. I don't like to, its dangerous someone could scratch my new car... I thought about pulling into her SO's spot instead, but I didn't.

BAD choice.

My car.... my poor poor car.

neighbors unlicensed (he has a permit) son backed into the car. big HUGE freaking dent. My sis and I returned and her SO was out talking to the lady and he motioned for us to stop, and I saw the damage to the car.

I am already having tummy issues! I didn't need my car to have a big dent in it.

So I get out and my sis goes and parks her car and the lady says, she looks angry.
She was.
At least they lady and the kid were honest enough to admit they backed into the car and not to just hit it and go, you know? and so we got his info and her info and the owner of the cars info and the insurance info and called my insurance and let them know and I got a claim number and meanwhile I am feeling even more like my tummy hates me. Gave the Lady my info and my car info and my insurance info. Went inside and had some food and fought throwing up and won (hooray!) then watched some weird freaking movies... and had some stomach unhappyness, tighness in the muscles, maybe some braxton hicks I dunno really, laid on the floor so I wouldn't throw up (though I did a little acid refluxness into the throat...yuck) finished the movie and now I am home.

Oh yea we made some yummy cookies too.
At least I was not in the car and so didn't have to get monitored.

my perfect shiny car has a big yucky on it :( poor thing. I will get it fixed and it will look like it never happened. until then, I will be sad everytime I look at it.

I feel tight and uncomfortable in my belly area. comes and goes. at least these are not painful like the other braxton hicks like things I have had. Maybe I will have a bath and some mint tea and a cookie and read the rest of my book.

and my poor sis, her elbow and shoulder hurt her so. I wish I could make her not hurt.
